Come out and participate for "Creating A New Vision for Northwood Plaza"









The Northwood Plaza Design Team is proud to sponsor A Community Design Workshop – Creating A New Vision for Northwood Plaza… the commercial heart of our community! The workshop will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at The Clarence M. Mitchell School of Engineering on the campus of Morgan State University (5200 Perring Parkway).

Participating Organizations include: Northwood Plaza Working Group, The Neighborhood Design Center, Hillen Road Improvement Association, Northeast Community Organization, Original Northwood Association, Northeast Development Alliance, Baltimore City Planning Department, Morgan State University, Baltimore Development Corporation.

I plan to attend this event and cause trouble!j/k. At the very least I will ask someone on the panel an uncomfortable question (such as what took so long to make Northwood Plaza a priority? The place has been on a downward spiral since the mid 80s.)

Persoanlly, I think they should put a Target there. A Target store would kill there between city residents and MSU students.

All that shopping center need is a good anchor store.

A Target at Northwood Plaza would be good for the surround communities. Talk about serious economic impact. Not having to drive to the county (Towson, White Marsh, etc.) just to shop for everyday items would be great!

I agree. I'm so glad that place is on the radar. There is so much money just behind the trees on the other side of the street.

Wait! There are Baltimoreans this far north? I could have sworn the city line had become North Avenue again.
